In winter, you enjoy a sip of our Merlot with some delicious meat and various vintages of our Rieslings, but for summer, you may want something lighter. If this is what you think now when filling your wine bar, then, believe me, we thought about it as well. That's why we've now launched the second year of our Pinot Gris with a screw cap. The wine that our fans and people who are just looking for a relationship with wine will enjoy. And especially wine, which will be a faithful partner for you at all summer events. We also created it a bit for them.
We confess without torture. It is a bit of a reaction to what has happened to us all during the last months. After the first wave of the pandemic, more people started coming to us than before, and they asked more and more about lighter wine. "Our new Pinot Gris corresponds exactly to that. It is an ideal wine for a picnic basket, light, perfect to drink, and thanks to the screw cap, you can handle it anywhere," says our Dáša Fialová about wine, which tastes like Mirabelles and has a creamy finish.
According to Dáša's words, it is also expected that people who have different relationships with wine can meet at such a picnic basket. Some people know almost everything about wine, others have their favorite pieces, and some are just looking for their way to wine. Pinot Gris from the Silver Sonberk series should be able to connect them all. It has 8.3 grams of residual sugar and 6.4 grams of acids, so it balances on the border of dry and semi-dry and will serve well to those who want to drink to our classic dry wines gradually. And you don't have to learn it only on our terrace. "In the 2019 vintage of our Pinot Gris, we have over five thousand bottles, and some of them will be available for tasting in restaurants for a glass," Dáša points out that it pays to look for it in wine lists as well.
