In the second part of the 2020 summary, we remember the warmest months of the year and, at the same time, months that brought so much joy and fun to Sonberk. Which of the concerts do you remember the most? You can write to us on Facebook, for example.
MAY
The pandemic spring has given us a lot. In addition to our new projects, there are also touching connections with other winemakers. The most vital thing happened thanks to the Etiflex printing house from Břeclav and its owner Lucie Hotařová, who came up with the project to support winemakers. Moravian wine connoisseur Libor Nazarčuk dominated the second part of our podcast. He is explaining how domestic wines are equal to world ones. And because conditions already allow it, we are talking about wine outside as well. We open the terrace, and every Saturday, together with the operators of various food trucks, we host our fans and all possible passers-by. We still remember the combination of our Riesling Rudimentum and duck wrap from chefs from Matyho chálka.
JUNE
The more we had to modify ourselves in previous weeks, the more we wanted to plan the program for future weeks. We designed four evenings of our summer festival and five concerts of the new project Music in the Vineyards. In the third part of the podcast, Libuše Vrbová talks about viticulture in South Africa, and we are thinking about a market in France - because the creator of world wine guide Jean-Baptiste Ancelot starts to import our wine here. We also have a drink at the premiere of the film Bourák, where we have the honor of being thanks to our long-term friendship with the famous Czech director Ondřej Trojan.
JULY
We are sitting down just while recording a podcast with a Czech specialist in rosé wines Honza Stávek. Otherwise, we're on our feet the whole summer. But it's worth it. On Sunday, July 5, David Koller returns to the Sonberk's stage after years, but even according to the audience's response, no one forgot him. The singer Pokáč was also great. In July, Ivan Hlas arrives with the band and also Tomáš Klus, who is not afraid to sing a song in the crowd among the listeners. From Prague, there are reports of 91 points for the Riesling Rudimentum at the Prague Wine Trophy competition and from the USA praise for the sweet Pálava.
AUGUST
The crazy concert ride continues, and we enjoy the crowds of people coming to us. People are singing together with Thom Artway. They are laughing after the performances of Jaroslav Dušek, they are dancing wildly with Jirka Macháček and his band Mig 21, and are humming together in a choir with Anna K. August includes, among other things, the opportunity to participate in a gala evening of Winemaker of the Year.
Would you like to see and experience all this? We look forward to seeing you at Sonberk.
