Sometimes lovely things are not said about young wines. It is said that in a few months, it loses its taste or cannot last. But you can’ t think in this way about Sonberk’s Moravian Muscat. A few days ago, this wine received 91 points and the Prague Premium Gold award in the acclaimed Czech Prague Wine Trophy competition.
Moravian Muscat is the only wine we create in Sonberk in a young version. Every year, at the end of October or the beginning of November, it is the first that we offer for sale from a given year.
“We always say that it is not true that you can use this wine around Christmas just as the part of cooking risotto. It is young, but you can drink it for at least a year, as the results of the first round of the Prague Wine Trophy prove,” explains Dáša Fialová, who is in charge of Sonberk’s trade and marketing.
By default, we would not have a drop left of Muscat at this time of year. Thanks to coincidences, we managed to get about 100 more bottles. We now offer them to those who would like to appreciate its toughness, sparkling taste, and aroma of apricots and tropical fruits in their glass. We sell Moravian Muscat from the year 2019 in cartons with six bottles for XYZ, and you can order it by e-mail sonberk@sonberk.cz.
