Great news arrived at Sonberk at about this time last year: French wine lover Jean-Baptist Ancelot included us in his book selection of the world's best wineries called Wine Explorers. Also, he used a photo from Sonberk on the cover page. Now comes even bigger news. Ancelot has decided to present selected wineries at home in France, and Sonberk will be among them.
"From the beginning, he planned not to stay only with the French book and is gradually working on an English translation. But the most important thing for us is that he wants to gradually show the wineries he chose for the book to wine lovers in France. And because the view from Sonberk is on the cover, Ancelot starts with us," describes our Dáša Fialová, who was personally at the gala introduction of the guide. It took place in September in Paris, just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe.
Ancelot will now dedicate a week to Sonberk on all his social networks and the web. You can see, for example, a video where our Dáša and winemaker Olda are trying to speak French. However, the whole of Sonberk's production will not be presented, but a selection. It includes the cuvée Sémillon/Sauvignon, Riesling, Pálava VOC, and Pálava sweet wine, as well as the Riesling and the cuvée Pinot Gris & Chardonnay from the Silver Sonberk series.
