Under normal conditions, in Sonberk, we would already have the experience of season-opening and of the almond festival in Hustopeče. But this year everything is different. None of this happened, so we thought we would like to meet you at least virtually. That´s why we organized the first Online Sonberk wine quiz. It took place on Facebook on Friday. And we enjoyed it a lot, so we decided to repeat it every week until the end of emergency status.
“We were sorry that we can't meet people directly in Sonberk right now, so we were thinking about how to compensate for it. Our colleague Dominika came up with the idea that we could play a quiz with our fans just as we know it from some bars. We rethink this idea so that it can be organized remotely,” explains our marketing and sales director Dáša Fialová.
It was a challenge to come up with questions that are not too difficult for the not so wine educated people, nor too easy for those who are part of the wine industry. In the end, it turned out that the representatives of both groups had signed up, and 13 teams took part in the first quiz. Some competed as an individual, and someone used the quiz as an opportunity to have at least a virtual meeting with friends. "Nice diversion, thank you very much," this is one of the responses we got in Facebook Messenger, through which we evaluated the answers.
Most of the correct answers were sent by a team led by Petra Tesařová, who is rewarded with a carton of Sonberk´s wine. The winning team missed only half a point to the full score. “Good enough even we just guessed from time to time. It's probably thanks to the wine we drank,” laughed the winner in one of her messages.
