You have already read about our great pleasure from the second place in this year's Winemaker of the Year competition, but we have also been warmed up by other information related to this. The organizer did not publish the full score of the best winemakers at the gala evening, all of them learned about this from a distance.
So we also received information about how our cuvée Chardonnay&Pinot Gris literally rolled all opponents. On the hundred-point scale, the international jury of sommeliers awarded it with 94.5 points, which is really rare. Cuvée was the best wine among 40 participants in the final round. The second best was the Cépage Sauvignon wine from Nové vinařství with 91.88 points.
In this competition five wines represent each wine compay and these wines should be the best or most interesting products that they currently sell. So it´s definitely worth buying the whole collection.
We no longer have some wines, but the good news is that the competition champion is still available in the e-shop. You can also buy Pálava straw wine 2016 and Riesling Noble rot 2017.
In addition, we received very nice review on the cuvée on Facebook profile owned by the Ostrava family wine shop Viiino owner Martin Lička. The owner of the event pointed out that our cuvée received the gold medal in the basic round of the competition and 90.67 points, which is a great rating in itself. “Points from the final round were for me even more interesting, because wines were evaluated by the tasters with the title Master of Wine and this cuvée got the highest ranking of this year. There are no points like points, considering the fact that these people regularly evaluate or taste world-class wines, I see them in a completely different light,” is written on the profile and we´re thankful. “The wine is really extraordinarily elegant, and if you like the big white Burgundy, you will not regret your money for this Moravian Burgundy,” Lička advises.
