Only few days left before, Salon of Wine, shows of the best Czech wines for 2019, which will be lying in the cellar of the Valtice Castle, will be opened for the first time in 2019. And Sonberk will not be missing this year. The evaluators last year chose our cuvée Chardonnay & Pinot gris barrique 2015 and Straw Pálava 2016, Riesling 2015 VOC was selected this year, which will be available all year long to sample all of the show's visitors.
Why this wine? We will try to ask jurors for the opening ceremony, but we have our own theory. "The Riesling 2015 VOC is at an ideal age - three to five years from the harvest is the right time when the Sonberks riesling show in the best light. It has a beautiful solid juicy acid, you can feel honey and dried apricots, and an intense, long-lasting flavor just underlines its quality, "says Dáša Fialová, Sales and Marketing Director.
This riesling is one of our greatest wines, with a number of Czech and foreign awards. You can still buy it in our e-shop, the inclusion in the Salon doesn’t change the price. "I would not hesitate much with the purchase, we expect it’ll be sould out by the summer," Dáša encourages with a smile. In addition to feeling good while drinking the wine, you can also help with a good cause. From his earnings, we send part of the price to the People in Need Foundation.
The Riesling 2015 VOC was awarded for the continuation of a “great ride” in the Salon. Some of our wines appeared in it every time we signed up, so for the fourteenth time in a row.

For visitors, the exhibition opens on Saturday 2 February. And by the way, thanks to the equality of points in the final count, a total of 101 are awarded.
