How to get to Sonberk

By car

Arriving at Sonberk by car is simple, fast and there is trouble-free parking waiting for you right in front of the winery building. The road to Sonberk is marked by signs in two directions of arrival - from Hustopeče and from the intersection of road No. 52 (Brno - Mikulov) and Ivaň. Sonberk is marked in maps and standard GPS navigations.

By train / public transport

For a train trip to Sonberk you can choose from two train stops. The train station Šakvice is serviced by both passenger as well as fast trains. From Šakvice train station there is a bus connection (line No. 545) to the stop "Popice, Rozcestí", which is located directly at the foot of Sonberk, about 1 km of walking.

The other train stop is located in Popice and is serviced by passenger trains. However the bus connection (lino No. 545) to the stop "Popice, Rozcestí" is limited to working days. However, you can book a taxi or take a walk between the vineyards, which is about 2 km long (circa 30 minutes walking time).

Taxi

We regularly update our list of regional taxi services HERE.

By bike

Sonberk is part of the Moravian Wine Cycle Route, located in the section between Hustopeče and Popice. On selected days we open the upper service gate at the top of the vineyard, which can help you shortening your route. Please contact us in advance to check the current situation.

On foot

There are two pleasant strolls waiting for you – embark on the Moravian Wine Cycle Route in Hustopeče (about 5 km / 1 hour) or walk from Popice, through the vineyards (circa 2 km/ 30 minutes).

By bus or caravan

Sonberk is spacious enough for the arrival and parking of minibuses, buses and caravans. Outside our opening hours caravan parking can be arranged on a communal land in close proximity to Sonberk, a prior arrangement with the municipality of Popice is needed.

By private jet

Landing a private helicopter is also possible after prior arrangement. For adventurers we strongly recommend to check out the airfield in Popice!
