This year, we will transform the traditional date of "burning witches" at Sonberk into an experience by the fire with the taste of the best Sonberk´s Rieslings from 2014 - 2020. Come and enjoy a tasting of our flagship variety.

Tip: Book a place for a guided tasting of the so-called Riesling vertical at 18 or 20 hours.

This year it is exactly 100 years since the birth of Josef Veverka, the father of the Pálava grape variety. And it deserves a good celebration!

Come to us for an afternoon free tasting of the 100 best Pálavas from the region, which was chosen for you by the Sonberk winemaker Old Drápal. Admission CZK 500, tasting, water, and glass included.

The first weekend in July will be dedicated to theatre and music at Sonberk. On Saturday, July 2, we will enjoy an open-air theatre performance 1 + 1 = 3 performed by the actors of the Brno Municipal Theatre.

Day of Italian wines

Company VinoDoc is organizing 4th galadegustation of wines from their portfolio. In this years event, the portfolio of Italian wines will be filled in by Czech wineries partnered with OKvíno. Within the afternoon tastings, you will be able to taste samples from large selection of over 100 wines and meet with representatives of these wineries. You can be excited for classic italian regions such as Piemont, Toscania, Venetia or Sicilia, but also spanish Rioja, wines from Austria, Germany, France and of course Moravia.

Anna K., a popular Czech singer and composer.

Like every year, this year it will take place on the third Friday in September, i.e. 16.9. You can reserve the whole afternoon and try out the harvesting and pressing of grapes under the supervision of a vineyard manager and cellar master. Or come along to the tasting and evening programme, it's up to you.

From 14:30 we will go together with the winegrower Roman Slouk to the vineyard where you can pick your own grapes, have them milled and pressed. After tasting the freshly pressed cider, you will be among the first to know what the 2022 vintage tastes like.

From 15:30 we will follow up with a tasting of the new 2021 wines from the Stříbrný and Velký Sonberk series. It will last until 17:30 and you will also be able to compare the new wines with the older vintages. The 2020 Great Sonberk wines will also be available for tasting and possible reservation.

From 18:30 the concert of the dulcimer music Harafica starts, which from folklore to jazz, rock and pop guarantees an original musical experience.

Guided wine tasting - from different types of glasses. This is the Riedel glass tasting on Saturday 26 November at our Sonberk. Take a trip and find out what influence the (mis)correct glass has on the expression of wine. Reserve the last available seats: sonberk@sonberk.cz

Prague Wine Trophy Galadegustation

In the traditional winter term, the show of medal wines from the largest international wine competition in the Czech Republic - the Prague Wine Trophy - returns again. It will be personally attended by local winemakers and representatives of wineries from all over the world. In 2022, 1816 wines took part in the Prague Wine Trophy.

The gala tasting will take place on Thursday, 2 March 2023 in Michna Palace in Mala Strana.

Riesling Night

The second edition of the popular Riesling event, where everything revolves around the Riesling variety. During the afternoon and night, we will offer guided tastings of newer and archival bottlings combined with an educational tour of the vineyards and winery.

King of wines, wine of kings. If Riesling is also your passion, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 29, in the afternoon and evening at Sonberk. We will extend our opening hours until 10:00 pm so that we can taste not only younger Rieslings, but also vintage Rieslings.

What will happen

* Free Riesling tasting at the wine bar for all guests without prior reservation.

* Guided tastings of the so-called Riesling vertical, a selection of the best Sonberian Rieslings, combined with a guided tour of the vineyards and winery - reservations required, limited seating.
The tour times are at 17:00 and 19:00, the price of 350 CZK per person includes 6 samples of Sonberk Rieslings

* Refreshments provided on site

Easter Monday, April 10, children's program in the vineyard with pomlázka, roasting sausages. Girls and boys will compete on the lawn in front of the building, where they will pass a total of 4 stations. There will be sweet rewards and parents will just watch from the comfort of the terrace. By the way, we are prepared for rain, we welcome you and your kids in any weather 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Reservations are not necessary.

Wine Circus by Bacchus 2023

The next edition of the Wine Circus by Bacchus tasting show in the "chapitó" of the Civic Swimming Pool, where the complete portfolio of Bacchus Vins & Champagnes, one of the first wine distribution companies on the domestic market, will be presented. In the beginning, the company set out to open the door to the incredibly diverse and unique world of wine for the Czech customer. It decided to work only with family wineries and to have relationships built exclusively on a personal basis. In twenty-nine years of operation, she has not backed down from this idea, her strategy is "Be satisfied with only the best". She stands behind every bottle and knows her story.
